Clay target carnival at Whiteman Park

THE WA State Trap (Down-the-Line) Clay Target Shooting Carnival will be held at Whiteman Park on Saturday, September 22.

The State Trap Carnival is the premier event of the Western Australian Clay Target Association’s annual shooting calendar.

The event, which starts at 8.30am finishes on 24 September is expected to attract more than 120 athletes, including some travelling from the eastern states. 

Western Australian athletes will compete for five WA Clay Target Shooting State Titles, and the opportunity to represent their state at the National Clay Target Shooting Championships in Roma, Qld in 2019 with their final goal being to represent Australia at the World Championships.

Midland MLA and Police and Road Safety Minister Michelle Roberts and Moore MHR Ian Goodenough will attend the opening. 

The venue – the WA State Government sponsored, International Shooting Complex at Whiteman Park – will be buzzing with competitors, national and international sponsors with displays from Beretta Australia, Perazzi Australia, Winchester Australia and more.

The general public is invited to attend and witness quality competition from recognized state, national, and international shooters.
