Extension for Mundaring PS undercover area

THE Liberal Party has promised if it is re-elected to spend $60,000 at Mundaring Primary School to extend and enclose the existing covered assembly area.

On Monday, February 27 Education Minister Peter Collier said Swan Hills MLA Frank Alban had lobbied for the new undercover area.

Mr Alban said the school had had a significant increase in student numbers and needed to extend its undercover area to accommodate them — the existing undercover area would be extended, a roller door widened and one of the sections would be closed off.

Mr Alban said Mundaring Primary School had a strong and proud tradition and was one of the oldest primary schools in Western Australia, having celebrated its centenary in 2007.

Mr Collier said the upgrade at the school was not dependent on the partial sale of Western Power.
