Showbags a hit for Echo News winners

GEORGIA Beaton and Tyler Robinson are the envy of school kids everywhere after being part of the 2018 IGA Perth Royal Showbag Launch.

Twelve-year-old Georgia and eight-year-old Tyler entered an Echo News competition where they had to describe what they would put in their perfect showbag.

Georgia’s teen-girl décor bag and Tyler’s ultimate showbag – which would include a skateboard and a brand-new scooter – were selected from hundreds of entries to be the first kids from our region to try out the showbags on offer at this year’s Perth Royal Show.

Tyler was thoroughly impressed with the TNT bag ($5), containing lots of really sour lollies and sour bubblegum, as well as the Australian Wallabies bag ($20).

For Georgia, the Elle Showbag, valued at $25, was a hit, containing items worth well over $300, as were all the chocolate-based showbags on offer.

This year’s cheapest showbags – Bertie Beetle Blue, Captain Candy, JJ’s Snacks, Lots of Lollipops, Mega Fizz Showbag, Monster Bubble Gum, Monster Munchies and Mostly Ghostly – are all $4, while the most expensive are Lindt Box of Blocks Showbag ($95), Fermoy Estate Picnic Bag ($99) and Fremantle Chocolate Ultimate Bag ($125).

The 2018 IGA Perth Royal Show opens on September 22 and runs until September 29.
