Vintage lovers flock to foothills

FOSSICK for a treasure at the All Things Vintage car boot sale next month at the Maida Vale Reserve.

Organiser Adele Standeven said there would be more than 80 vintage and food stalls on offer at the event which would also raise funds for a worthy cause.

“The All Things Vintage Car boot sale has established itself on WA’s vintage calendar as a well-organised and affordable outdoor event for buyers and sellers with lots of genuine vintage goods for sale,” she said.

“It is authentic and does not sell vintage-inspired wares, items for sale must officially be pre-1990’s or officially collectable brands.”

Ms Standeven said the event attracted vintage lovers from across the state.

“We have a lovely fairy ring floating down from Kalamunda with old-fashioned fairytales throughout the morning,” she said.

“Buskers will be playing throughout the morning and jazz outfit Bonnie Scott’s will be closing the day from 12-1pm.”

Ms Standeven said each year she chose a charity to collect gold coin donations at the gate.

“This year People Who Care volunteers will be at the driveway gates wearing yellow vests and they will also be having a stall with stock from their Guildford op shop,” she said.

The event is on November 6 from 9am.
