Gidgegannup resident Virginia Abson was thrilled to be gifted a refurbished computer from the Wanneroo Community Men’s Shed.

Generous gift for fire victims

Six months after the Wooroloo bushfire devastated homes and property in the Hills, generous members of the community are still coming forward to help repair the lives of those that were affected.

Last week, 30 refurbished computers were handed over to the City of Swan by the Wanneroo Community Men’s Shed, in a display of thankless generosity.

The City’s Wooroloo Bushfire Recovery Team donated the computers to those in need, which also included the latest software, monitors, leads and a mouse.

The computers can be a life saver for those who cannot yet afford to replace what was lost in the fire and anyone who lost a computer in the fire is invited by the City of Swan to reach out for assistance and apply for one of the refurbished computers by emailing bushfirerecoverygroup@swan.wa.gov.au
