Helena Valley tipped to win

IN Swan Helena cricket, this week, the second last round before Christmas is being played and on Tuesday the start of the Dogtainers, Tuesday T20 competition.

Lesmurdie Mazenod are at home to Roleystone Karragullen and both need a good strong win but I think Roleystone should come out on top.

The game of the round is Helena Valley and Swan View and it should be a beauty as both teams are in top form.

It’s a difficult pick but Helena Valley should get the points.

Middle Swan plays Forrestfield and this too should be a good tough game but Forrestfield should scrape in.

Darlington host the Ellenbrook Rangers and should be too strong.

Last Saturday Middle Swan gave Lesmurdie Mazenod a fright before Lesmurdie steadied to get the win.

Middle Swan batted first and made 8-161 off their forty overs and looked set for a win when they had Lesmurdie 6-100 but Lesmurdie managed to reach 8-173.

Justin Stephenson made his highest score for his new club hitting 54, Ray Marsh scored 31 runs and James Outten was the pick of the Lesmurdie bowlers claiming 4-38.

Dan Franklin top scored with 43 runs, next highest was Tim McQuoid with an unbeaten 37 and Rob Thompson made 30 runs.

Swan View 8-149 defeated Ellenbrook Rangers, who were all out for 120.

Chris Turkich top scored for Swan View with 54 runs, while in Ellenbrook’s innings Josh Cannell hit 56 and Jordan Howell picked up 3 wickets for 22 runs.

Helena Valley kept their unbeaten run alive by defeating Darlington Competitive.

Helena Valley made 6-214 with Michael Turkich leading the way with 66 runs, James Scroop made 61 runs, Justin Weaver hit 33 runs and Darlington’s best bowler was Allan Perella who snapped up four wickets for 29 runs.

In Darlington’s innings Brett Hyde made 42 runs, Allan Perella scored 39 runs and Andy Shaw made an unbeaten 30.

Forrestfield and Roleystone Karragullen played at Hartfield Park and at time, the winner was Forrestfield with a score of 9-150, off forty overs.

Roleystone Karragullen have protested the result claiming victory.

Roleystone scored 9-143 off their 39 overs but are claiming that they should have been allowed forty overs.

The extra over was played on the day and with the extra over, Roleystone reached 9-153 and won the game, subject to the tribunal’s decision.
