Islamic school plans released

City of Swan residents have until September 1 to voice their opinions on a proposal to build an Islamic School in Henley Brook.

The City have released plans for an education establishment on the corner of Asturian Drive and Henley Street and are seeking feedback from the public.

Plans include buildings to accommodate 1000 students from kindergarten through to high school, a gym, library, canteen, admin building, sports oval and a worship/prayer building.

The school will be developed in stages over eight years with 2023 anticipated as being the opening year.

The City of Swan is putting together a recommendation for the Metro Outer Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) including public comments.

Feedback can be given via the City of Swan website www.swan.wa.gov.au
