Pups ready to play

THE four-legged community, and their human friends, are ready to have a howling good time at this Sunday’s Pooches and People in the Park event at Midland’s Weeip Park.

The free event includes something for every member of the family with dog training, a baby animal farm, face-painting, bouncy castle and free baby soft-play area.

Market stalls, live music, street food eats from food trucks and kids entertainment will be spread between Weeip Park and the LoCale precinct on September 19 from 10am to 3pm.

Aveley resident Andrew Johnson will attend with his two lively British bulldogs Stanley and Arnold.

“We really enjoy taking our dogs with us out in public to the park or to the beach, but there aren’t many events where you can bring your dog,” he said.

“It’s great for us as owners, but also for them to socialise with other dogs and visit different places.”

BYO picnic blankets and chairs.
