Remembrance Day 2021

IT is important to remember and reflect on the tragedies of war and think about those who rest in many places around the world, says Chidlow RSL sub-branch president Ian Johnstone.

The Chidlow RSL Remembrance Day service was attended by Chidlow Primary School students, Member for Swan Hills Jessica Shaw and Shire of Mundaring councillor John Daw.

Year 5 students India Teale and Zayden Duff shared written pieces following the theme of reflection.

“Today we gather to commemorate and pay our respects to those who fought for our freedom and lives, not only do we remember them today but we remember the soldiers tomorrow and many years to come,” India said.

Bellevue RSL held its annual Remembrance Day service at Blackboy Hill commemorative site in Greenmount.

RSL sub-branch president Scott Rogers led the service, with Shire of Mundaring president James Martin and councillor Jo Cicchini in attendance.

In Ellenbrook, students came together for a combined service with the Ellenbrook RSL.
