Snug as a bug

RESIDENTS at Parry House Aged Care in Lesmurdie are sure to be warm and cosy this winter, thanks to gifts from the Inner Wheel Club of Kalamunda (IWC).

Members of the IWC, the female equivalent of the Rotary Club, knitted and donated many colourful knee rugs to the aged care home last month.

IWC secretary Maureen Betts said they enjoyed donating their craft projects to others.

“I hope the rugs keep the residents of Parry House nice and warm,” she said.

“They were done to honour the memory of our late member Rosa, who left us the wool.

“Inner Wheel is primarily a friendship group which supports various charities and community groups throughout the year.”

The club meets on the second Wednesday of every month at the Little Kala, Kalamunda at 6.30pm.
