MEMBER for Bullwinkel Trish Cook recently opened the administration building at Forrestfield’s Heritage College Perth which she said will improve student educational outcomes.

Ms Cook said work on the new facilities was delivered with support of federal government funding of $534,000 through the capital grants program.

“A lot of work has gone into this project which has delivered a new administration block and an extension of the secondary block to create an online learning facility,” Ms Cook said.

“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers and students at Heritage College Perth with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn.

“The Australian Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those in Heritage College Perth, Forrestfield get the best possible education.”

Ms Cook said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at the college, as well as the many students to follow in the future years.

“The teachers, staff and students at Heritage College Perth have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Ms Cook said.

“Our government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or join the workforce.”
