THE countdown is on for the 10th anniversary of the lighting of the Guildford Community Christmas tree in Stirling Square.
All are welcome to pack a picnic and come along at 6pm on Sunday, November 30 for free family activities ahead of the lighting of the tree at sunset.
The Advent celebration will include carol singing, crafts, the Christmas story and a visit from a little donkey.
This much-loved community event, an initiative of St Matthews Church, has grown since its beginnings back in 2015.
This year also marks the 10th anniversary of Rev Katrina Holgate at St Matthews.
Last year the community rallied behind a fundraising campaign towards new lights for the tree.
The lighting of the tree is supported this year by Midland MLA Steve Catania and the City of Swan.
People are asked to avoid parking on Stirling Square and free parking is available at the Guildford train station car park.
