The dancers bagged gold in the high school open genre division scoring an impressive 92 out of 100 points.
Perth’s up-and-coming choreographer and performer Emily Crockford worked alongside dance teacher Stephanie Oborne to ensure the dancers were competition-ready.
“Dance Life Unite was our first competition of the season so the dancers had a combination of nerves and excitement but performed as trained professionals,” Ms Oborne said.
“The girls rehearsed tirelessly.”

Dancer Ruby Taylor described the exhilarating moment the team learnt they had won.
“When the music started at the beginning of the dance my heart was racing,’ she said.
“I was super nervous but when I heard we had won I felt so excited and I realised all the hard work had paid off.”
This year’s competition marks the first time the selected dancers had performed and competed together.
