Midland Guildford Cricket Club recorded mixed results for the most recent weekend, with balanced wins and losses and one draw.

IT was a weekend of mixed results for Midland Guildford Cricket Club in both the senior and junior matches.

The male 1st grade was set a target of 392 for victory by their opponents Claremont-Nedlands.

The run chase was dominated by a phenomenal individual effort from Jordan Roads who posted a remarkable 194 runs from 190 balls.

He was supported by Max Bittner with 53 from 127, as the side posted 294 all out in the second innings of their defeat.

It was a successful round for the male 2nd grade against the same opposition.

After restricting their opponents to 204 all out, with Jacob Heslop taking 4-59 from 26.1 overs, they managed to chase down the target with four wickets remaining.

Hunter Wills was the top scorer with 51 from 144 in the victory.

The male 3rd grade was beaten by 86 runs, with Jarod Bridge taking 5-74 from 18 overs in the defeat.

It was a drawn match for the male 4th grade as they could not chase down their target of 264 before the end of their 80 over innings.

In the female B grade match, the side was narrowly beaten by three wickets after posting 174 all out in the first innings.

Lily-May Lyndon top scored with 58 from 75, while Sharna Abbott took 4-26 from eight overs in the second innings of the loss.

It was a convincing 76 run victory for the male U17 side after they posted 8-265 with Alan Antony, with 119 from 118, and Tanveer Chauvan, with 66 from 98, combining for a 169 run opening partnership.

It was a strong bowling effort from the entire side as they restricted Claremont-Nedlands to 7-189 in the run chase.

The female U17 side was able to chase the target of 167 set by Perth in their 40 over match.

Kaitlyn Magistro took 3-21 from seven overs, before Alyssa Tremlett dominated the run chase with 90 from 53 as they chased the score with two wickets remaining and 12.1 overs to spare.

The male U14 were beaten by Scarborough in their final match of the season as their opponents chased down their score of 9-212, while the male U13 were victorious in their match against the same opposition.

They comfortably chased the target of 129 for victory, with Karl Griasch scoring 70 from 76, however they just missed out on the semi-finals.

With just a few weeks remaining in the season, all teams will be looking to finish as strong as possible in their remaining matches.
