
Running from 9am to 1pm, the event will officially launch the station’s opening with a program of free, family-friendly entertainment.
The musical centrepiece will feature an opening performance by cover band Johnny Law & the Pistol Packin’ Daddies at 9.30am.
The band is set to deliver a high-energy, roots-driven concert of music covers with a performance sound that reflects the golden age of folk, country, and rock ‘n’ roll.
Beyond the main stage, attendees can enjoy a traditional free sausage sizzle and ice cream while navigating a variety of market and community stalls.
A dedicated animal farm and professional face painting will be situated for children to enjoy, ensuring the morning is packed with activities for all ages.
The event will also feature a diverse range of food trucks and roaming entertainers to round out the festive atmosphere across the new precinct.
The day’s rail schedule kicks off with the first train to Midland Station leaving Perth Station at 9.11am, while the first service departing Midland
for Perth will leave at 9.34am.
For people interested in the area’s deep industrial roots, special guided walking tours of the nearby historic Railway Workshops will be held throughout the day.
With the combination of vintage root rhythms and a large program of free entertainment, this Sunday promises to be a high-energy introduction to Midland’s newest landmark.
