ELLENBROOK volunteers are set to come together in style to support local families doing it tough with a curated winter fashion fundraiser set to showcase pre-loved pieces from the Vinnies Ellenbrook shop at Holy Cross College from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, May 3.

Bringing together local volunteers, businesses and supporters for a meaningful cause, the parade will showcase a range of pre-loved pieces generously provided by Vinnies Ellenbrook, with models from Dene Selby Modelling Agency also set to volunteer their time.

All funds raised from the event will go directly towards Vinnies Ellenbrook Conference, which supports local residents facing hardship by providing food, vouchers for fuel and clothing as well as help with covering bills and other expenses.

While the event will showcase how preloved fashion can be as trendy as buying new, it also highlights local community spirit as people band together to help those less fortunate.

Vinnies WA’s emergency relief program plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families facing financial hardship, with an increasing demand driven by rising cost-of-living pressures.

The Ellenbrook Conference currently has 19 dedicated volunteers who give their time to ensure people are supported when they need it most.

Local residents are encouraged to attend the fashion parade and support the cause, while enjoying an afternoon celebrating style, sustainability and community spirit.

St Vincent de Paul Society Ellenbrook Conference member Diane Harper said the event was a wonderful example of people coming together in the local community to support one another.

“Every dollar raised will go straight back into helping local families who are doing it tough, and that’s what makes this so special,” she said.

“Through the Ellenbrook Conference, we see firsthand how important it is to be there for people when they need it most.

“This event is a great reminder that helping your community, and the environment, can go hand in hand.

“By showcasing pre-loved clothing from our Vinnies shops, we’re not only raising funds for local families in need but also promoting a more sustainable way to shop and give back.”

Tickets are $20, which include refreshments and entries to win door prizes, as well as the opportunity to browse pre-loved items at a pop-up stall curated by Vinnies Ellenbrook and can be purchased through Gail by contacting on 0405 163 096 or Mary on 0422 754 387.
