THE top three Hills Football Association (HFA) teams had convincing wins in their round 14 games.

Chidlow Cougars won 29.14 (158) against Gidgegannup Bulldogs’ 3.4 (22).

Mundaring Roos 16.10 (106) defeated Midland Tigers who scored 8.9 (57).

And Mt Helena Lions were triumphant with 19.11 (125) against Pickering Brook Hawks’ 9.10 (64).

Leading HFA, full forwards Chidlow Cougar Adam McKinlay and Mt Helena Lion Jess Cartwright had fruitful games with 11 and six goals respectively.

Adam has recently passed the 600-goal mark for Chidlow at an average of just over six goals per game, a great achievement considering that he has spent the past five years as a FIFO worker.

Adam’s best haul was 151 goals in the 2013 home and away season.

His 600 goals also leave him as the HFA’s highest individual goal scorer.

Several carnival representatives featured amongst their clubs’ best players this weekend, including Midland’s Denver Roberts who was not only recently chosen in the Nutrien AG country carnival all-stars team, chosen across all divisions, but was also awarded the fairest and best player in his division.
