MIDLAND-based Rowbottom Aviation Service and its founder Mick Rowbottom were recognised for excellence at the Australian Aviation Awards earlier this month.

At the awards Mr Rowbottom was confirmed as a finalist in the executive of the year category and his company won the Australian aviation support business of the year 2026.

Mr Rowbottom’s independent aircraft maintenance management company specialises in airworthiness control and technical support.

“As a proudly local business, this recognition is particularly meaningful,” Mr Rowbottom said.

“While the awards acknowledge the success of the company, they are really a reflection of the dedication, professionalism and hard work of the entire Rowbottom Aviation Service team.

The prestigious awards were held at the Star Casino in Sydney on August 6 and are a national program recognising outstanding individuals, businesses and organisations across Australia’s aviation industry.

The awards celebrate excellence in areas such as aviation safety, piloting, engineering, training, technology, innovation, leadership, airports, airlines and aviation service.
