SWAN ended the season with a win, prevailing 2-1 against Noranda Emerald at the Noranda Sporting Complex.
The Noranda Emerald needed a win and for Wanneroo to slip up in their game to win the league, but they found themselves behind on the half hour.
Good work by Swan defender Josh Appleby on the right saw him ease past two players before cutting the ball back for Thomas White to finish.
They added a second on 70 minutes, a long ball forward to John Monterosso who out muscled the centre back and finished clinically.
Conor Gormley pulled one back for the hosts, but it was too little too late, and to rub salt into the wounds, Darragh Carroll was sent off late.
Swan finished fourth, Monterosso won the golden boot for premier division, and coach Lee Taylor said the season ended well.
“(We made) sure we were aggressive, up for the fight and defensively sound especially after our result last time we played them,” he said.
“We have been excellent away from home all season so pleased to finish with another win.
“We have come a long way since January, and we are in a good place to build on this season next year.
“Congratulations to everyone at Wanneroo on winning the league and our own John Monterosso for finishing top goal scorer.”
