VITO and Teresa Di Paolo have always been keen gardeners growing all their own veggies and wanted to share this massive ‘tortarella’ Italian cucumber they grew dedicating it the City of Swan because of its S shape.
Since migrating from Italy to Australia in 1971 the couple have resided in the City of Swan.
Letizia Ludewig of Greenmount, who sent the picture to Echo News, said her parents had been growing the cucumbers for years but had never had grow one in that shape before.
She said they recently signed up for community support via My Aged Care and City of Swan community services that assists people like them to continue living a healthier and independent life in their own home.
