THE beautiful National Trust’s Woodbridge House will again play host to a summer gala soiree on Sunday January, 28 from 5pm to 7pm to raise funds for the Rotary Club of Freshwater Bay’s many outstanding projects.

Again, there is a wonderful line up of Western Australia’s incredible talent.  Alessandro Pittorino is Musical Director, organist and MC with Lachlann Lawton, Chelsea Burns, Eimear Foley and Devon Lake, returning for the second year, as the main artists.

Rising stars are all WAAPA Graduates, James Pinneri, Sophie Hamer and Noah Humich.

Many of the artists have trained internationally, with Mr Pittorino the only Australian to graduate in Organ studies from the Julliard School of Music in New York. Ms Foley trained on the other side of the city at New York University in Music Theatre while husband and wife team Lachlann Lawton and Chelsea Burns have each been recipients of national awards.

The repertoire will be much loved light classical, along with popular music theatre, concluding with a bracket of Australiana favourites.

Emphasising the Australiana theme, the Freeze Frame Opera truck will again be used as a stage.

The concert is family-friendly, picnic style with BYO blankets, chairs (preferably low) food and drink, with abundant shade for all, and a coffee van on site who will also have some cold snacks for sale.

Woodbridge House is nestled between the Swan River, Guildford Grammar and Governor Stirling Senior High School where there is ample free parking.

Rotary is a service organisation which raises funds for its many worthy projects in the community, internationally and with youth. It has a global focus of creating peace and building a better world, with its global theme for this year being ‘Create Hope in the World’.
