THE cool mornings of Autumn signify the return of the Bickley Valley harvest and the region’s annual celebration of wine, cider, spirits, produce, food, and culture on May 3, 4 and 5.
A new VIP gala event on Friday, May 3 at Core Cider House kicks off the 25th anniversary in style, followed by a weekend that showcases the region’s best across 20 venues set amongst the lush orchards, vineyards, and rolling hills of the picturesque Bickley Valley.
The downloadable festival map will lead visitors throughout their self-guided trail of experiences, tours, workshops, tastings, menus and produce in the Bickley and surrounding regions. Each venue caters for a different audience with well established, award-winning producers alongside generational family businesses, including family-friendly and pet-friendly options.
Also new in 2024 is a complimentary shuttle bus service around the region running on Saturday and Sunday. Perfect for those who want to visit a number of venues, the bus route runs from Kalamunda Town with stops at Chalet Rigi, The Packing Shed Distilling Co, Plume Estate Vineyard, MyattsField Vineyards, Fairbrossen, Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, Masonmill and Core Cider House.
The 25th anniversary marks the region’s emergence into a new era with a mix of innovative, passionate young producers employing new techniques, alongside inherited time-honoured traditions on some of Western Australia’s most fertile land.
This community is turning heads in the world of artisanal produce with the region being increasingly recognised on a national and international stage. The future is shining bright.
Bookings are required at some venues, so advance planning is recommended to make the most of your visit.
