KALAMUNDA’S new chief executive officer Anthony Vuleta will begin in his new role on June 14.
Mr Vuleta has worked in local government since 1988, holding key roles at Swan, Belmont and Subiaco.
He joined Victoria Park as the technical services manager in 2001 and continued there, becoming the ‘renew life’ director, before progressing to the role of chief executive officer 14 years into his tenure.
Mr Vuleta will be taking over from Rhonda Hardy, who served Kalamunda for a decade before she passed away earlier this year after battling cancer as reported in Former Kalamunda CEO passes away.
City of Kalamunda Mayor Margaret Thomas said she was confident in Mr Vuleta’s capabilities, and was delighted to welcome him as the new chief executive officer.
“His extensive experience in local government, coupled with a strong focus on community needs, makes him the ideal candidate to lead the City of Kalamunda into the future,” she said.
Mr Vuleta’s professional achievements include serving as president for the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia WA, executive director of IPWEA, and trustee of the Public Works Foundation.
He currently sits on the LGA board and holds memberships in various industry groups, showcasing his dedication to advancing local government practices, and is the current president of Local Government Professionals Australia WA.
