THE state government will offer free VacSwim swimming lessons during the upcoming December and January school holidays.
As part of this cost-of-living relief measure, children enrolled in VacSwim at Bilgoman and Mt Helena aquatic centres will also enjoy complimentary entry to the venues for the full duration of their lessons.
The program aims to make essential swimming and water safety lessons more accessible by removing financial barriers, with the Education Department managing advance payments to venues, covering entry costs for enrolled children.
The initiative will provides local children with the opportunity to develop critical water safety skills.
Enrolments close on Wednesday, October 16.
