A NEW modern classroom block at Ballajura Primary School has been officially opened with the new classrooms replacing old facilities that were no longer fit-for-purpose.

The new building provides staff and students at the multicultural school with a new general classroom, a pre-primary block comprising two pre-primary classrooms, a kitchen, play area with storeroom and toilets for staff and students.

Parry and Rosenthal Architects designed the new building and Solution 4 Building completed the construction works in July.

Ballajura Primary School offers its staff first-rate leadership opportunities and has a strong focus on academic achievement.

West Swan MLA Rita Saffioti said she had always been focused on ensuring local students and their families have access to great education right in their community.

“The new building looks incredible, and I'm sure students will love coming to school and learning in these state-of-the-art facilities.”

Education Minister Dr Tony Buti said Ballajura Primary School enjoyed an excellent reputation for providing an outstanding education for the students in its care.

“This significant upgrade will ensure this continues into the future,” he said.
