Midland Guildford 1st grade has a dominant win

After some Midland Guildford Cricket teams produced dominant wins last weekend an important round of matches awaits teams playing this weekend.

THE Midland Guildford male 1st grade side produced a dominant win against Scarborough.

In the bowling innings, the side led by Matt Russo (4-43 from ten overs) restricted their opponents to 8-206.

Keaton Critchell provided a second consecutive century with a destructive innings of 116 runs not out from just 81 balls.

The innings including ten fours and six sixes as the side secured victory by seven wickets with 14.5 overs remaining.

The male 2nd grade also enjoyed a comfortable win against the same opposition.

After being asked to bowl first, the side was led by efforts from Ben Skinner (2-15 from seven overs), Lennon Brookes (3-20 from 10 overs) and Kelly Jones (3-7 from 3.1 overs) as they limited their opponents to 127 all out.

A straightforward chase that was led by Mitchell Pope (45 from 70) and Hayden Collins (35 from 81) saw the side win by eight wickets with 19.5 overs remaining.

The male 3rd grade were defeated by four wickets, while the male 4th grade managed a thrilling victory by just three runs.

The female B grade cruised to a comprehensive 175-run victory over South Perth.

After posting 7-262 with Justine Hayward-Janney (57 not out from 55) and Lily-May Lyndon (50 from 59) being the leading scorers.

Emma Wilson (4-19 from 7.3 overs) and Elle White (3-28 from five overs) were the best bowlers for the side as they bowled out their opposition for a total of just 87 runs.

In the other fixtures for the female sides, the female A grade and female U17 both had bye fixtures and the female U14 did not have a match scheduled this weekend.

The male U17 lost by eight wickets in their T20 match against Scarborough, while the male U15 lost in a super over against the same opponents also in a T20 fixture.

The male U14 produced a thumping 137-run victory in a strong display against Joondalup. Tanveer Chauvan (89 from 123) and Lachie Flux (62 from 97) were the standout performers in an innings of 3-227, before the bowlers dismissed Joondalup for just 90.

The male U13 also won comfortably against the same opposition with a 40-run victory.

After posting 172 all out, an all-round bowling display saw them dismiss their opponents for just 132 runs.
