THE four people accused of murdering teenager Cassius Turvey are on trial in the WA Supreme Court with the trial set to take about 10 weeks.
Jack Steven Brearley, Aleesha Louise Gilmore, Brodie Lee Palmer and Mitchell Colin Forth, who all deny murdering 15-year-old Cassius in October 2022, are appearing before WA’s chief justice Peter Quinlan.
Mr Brearley, Ms Gilmore and Mr Forth along with Ethan Robert MacKenzie also face several charges relating to the alleged detention and assault of a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy.
Cassius was allegedly attacked with a metal pole in Middle Swan on October 13, 2022.

He was placed in an induced coma but died on October 23.
In the days and weeks after Cassius’ death, thousands gathered across Australia at more than 40 vigils and rallies to remember his life.
Echo News understands Cassius’ mother Mechelle Turvey has received legal advice instructing her to make no further public comment until the conclusion of the trial.
