In an absolutely electric afternoon for fans, Fever pushed through a close first half to produce a full court effort claiming their 11th consecutive win and cementing their position as minor premiers.
Two more milestones capped off Fever’s night with Kadie-Ann Dehaney reaching 100 national league games and West Australian pathway product Caitlyn Brown making her Suncorp Super Netball debut.
The win also means Fever will now host the major semi final at RAC Arena in two weeks.
Fever took an early lead in the opening quarter, but the Giants fought back with a four-super shot performance from Co-Captain Jo Harten.
Sunday Aryang kicked off her night with an intercept off the Giants first centre pass, followed just minutes later by another off a pass from Jamie-Lee Price.
Fran Williams started the game against English Roses teammate Harten and produced three deflections and a miss from the shooter.
Fever was able to secure a narrow 20-19 lead as the first quarter wrapped up.
The second quarter started goal-for-goal with both sides pushing hard.
Kadie-Ann Dehaney hit the court and the influx of her presence produced mistakes from the Giants shooting end.
Consecutive goals from Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard put her at 34 for the half and Fever four goals ahead before the break at 37-33.
The third quarter was all about building for Fever, with their slick mid-court moving the ball with precision and power.
Alice Teague-Neeld was flying all over the court, making up 16 of her overall 46 feeds for the game.
Fowler-Nembhard and Casey Kopua continued their good-natured battle in the goal circle, the pair coming face-to-face for the first time in domestic netball since their ANZ Championship careers.
Olivia Wilkinson made an epic entrance with two goals followed by another later in the quarter, extending the lead to 57-44.
With a record crowd building excitement and cheering them on, the squad continued to dominate in the final quarter.
