AFTER West Coast Fever player Sunday Aryang of Midland continued her sensational defence and goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard scored a super shot on the siren in their 12th regular season win Fever are now preparing to face the NSW Swifts in the major semi final on Sunday.

Last Sunday in front of another record-breaking crowd of 12,813 fans Fever’s 71-60 win over the Melbourne Vixens sees them in an ideal place as they seek a second Suncorp Super Netball premiership.

Vixens Rudi Ellis and Jo Weston concentrated their defensive pressure on Fowler-Nembhard who had to use her signature reach to secure 14 goals for the quarter.

Down the opposite end, Kadie-Ann Dehaney was fierce against her old side, finding a deflection and a gain.

Aryang was also influential in defence with a gain, intercept and two deflections.

The Vixens fought back after Fever got away to an early lead with the WA side holding on to win the first quarter 15-14.

Fever started the second term with quick efficiency in the mid-court, fast transitions from centre pass to Fowler-Nembhard under goal creating a lead.

Captain Jess Anstiss found an intercept, while Jordan Cransberg made her entrance and immediately started putting pressure on Vixen Kate Moloney.

Further defensive pressure became necessary as Lily Graham scored a super shot and Kiera Austin shot two.

Shanice Beckford, Fran Williams and Dehaney all found deflections, while Aryang secured two gains, a rebound and an intercept with Fever increasing their lead to 34-30 in the second quarter.

Williams continued to stick to opponent Sophie Garbin, producing missed goals, a rebound and a gain.

Zoe Cransberg sent some flawless goal assists into Fowler-Nembhard, who shot at a perfect accuracy for the quarter and built the lead to nine goals at the final break where the score was 52-43.

In the last term, Aryang continued her sensational game with two gains, an intercept, deflection and a rebound.

Alice Teague-Neeld ended her night on 37 feeds, 32 goal assists and 25 centre pass receives.

Olivia Wilkinson scored a super shot in front of the roaring crowd, paired with her two other goals.

Fever found a 10-goal lead and were able to maintain that dominance throughout the entire quarter.
