LOCAL groups, clubs and creatives can now apply for funding through the Shire of Mundaring’s revitalised community funding program, with simpler applications and more support available year-round.

Now open for applications, the updated program aligns with the Council Plan 2024 to 2034 and offers enhanced support for community-led projects and initiatives.

Shire President Paige McNeil said the refreshed program was shaped by valuable feedback from community groups.

“The new funding program reflects council’s commitment to empowering residents, volunteers and community organisations,” Ms Paige said.

“We’ve listened closely to our community and reshaped the program to make funding more accessible, more responsive and easier to navigate.

“Council is proud to help bring more great local ideas to life, championing the people and projects that make the Shire of Mundaring community strong, connected, and vibrant,” she said.

Key updates to the program include a simplified application process, shorter assessment timeframes and greater access to funding for community initiatives

Grants now operate on a rolling basis, meaning applications can be submitted year-round until the annual budget allocation is fully expended.

The program is designed to support a wide range of community-focused initiatives, including local events, operational support for community groups, creative projects, and opportunities for young people representing Western Australia in their chosen field.
