AFTER decades of traversing the rich landscape of folk and roots music, seasoned singer-songwriter and former Kalamunda local, Jon Cope brings his latest musical project, the Celtic County Blues Band, to the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre for a one-night-only performance on Saturday, September 13 from 7.30pm.

Weaving together heartfelt contemporary folk storytelling, reimagined traditional ballads, and soulful country blues, this intergenerational group of folk and jazz musicians seamlessly blends genres with exciting improvisation and spontaneity.

The audience can expect an entertaining evening of acoustic folk and roots music that spans genres and generations, offering an evocative journey through memory, emotion, and musical heritage.

Jon will be joined by Reuben Cope, Fiona Davidson, Reuben Koopermand and Josh Gray for a night of entertaining Celtic country blues.

Jonathan Cope is the best male folk singer in the West Australian folk scene,” WA Folk Federation treasurer Terry Bonnett said.
