DETECTIVES from homicide squad have charged 32-year-old Tobias Marcus Nutallfollowing the investigation into the death of a 30-year-old woman in Bassendean on Wednesday, August 20.

The 32-year-old man from Brigadoon has been charged with murder.

About 12.30pm, Wednesday, August 20, police responded to reports of a serious incident on Reid Street in Bassendean.

One person sustained critical injuries and has been conveyed to hospital.

One person is assisting police with their inquiries.

It is believed the two people involved were known to each other.

He appeared before the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, August 22 where he was remanded in custody and is due back in court on September 17 at Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
