THE Sorcerers will be performing a Black Sabbath tribute this Friday, September 19 hoping to bring the classic Ozzy Osbourne-era energy and vintage sound of the heavy metal icons to Guildford.
Black Sabbath recently reformed to play their last ever live performance in their hometown of Aston, Birmingham in the UK and though frontman Ozzy Osbourne had plans to continue music, he passed away three weeks later.
The Sorcerers founding band member and vocalist Dan Durack said the band members were fans first and foremost.
“(We’re) striving to bring the energy, excitement and massive sound of Black Sabbath’s vintage years, delivering a killer show brimming with the sonic thrills of the early, classic Ozzy Osbourne-era,” he said.
“Originally forming for the Newport Hotel’s Record Club series, where musicians from Perth’s original music landscape teamed up to perform classic albums, The Sorcerers had so much fun they decided to carry on and bring their show to Black Sabbath fans everywhere.
“(We’ve) played to large, enthusiastic crowds in venues throughout Perth, regional WA and Melbourne.”
The event is ticketed and will be held at the Stirling Arms Hotel in Guildford.
