The Department of Fire and Emergency Services is encouraging residents to take part in planned burns now to future proof themselves from the upcoming bushfire season.
The City of Kalamunda says a pedestrian crossing near Kalamunda Glades shopping centre is not necessary at this stage but it will continue investigating.
