Railway Parade is no place to park
Dear Echo News,
We’re constantly being told that Railway Parade parking is being reduced.
Now it’s a fact.
All day parking is being used by Metronet patrons and most recently by St John of God hospital staff.
The total number of bays outside of Stockman units has reduced, and without a two-hour limit, means that visitors are unable to find vehicle space.

There is no provision for Midland EV charging
Dear Echo News,
Can you believe it?
Despite 10 per cent of car sales now EV, the City of Swan has approached the Midland Junction Alliance, the group responsible for planning and construction of the new Midland train station.
This discussion confirmed that no provision has been made for future EV charging within the multi-storey car park.
There is no provision for separated bike paths and personal EV transport like scooters to and from the station along major roads.
And this in a climate emergency that needs massive action to avoid falling off the precipice in the next 10 years.

Open pool for school holidays
Dear Echo News,
With the school holidays coming up in the next couple of weeks it raises the question as to whether the Bilgomen Aquatic Centre will be open for the students and others that are on holidays.
Is it the Shire of Mundaring’s desire, as it has been in past years, to have the centre closed thus sending many to Swan Active in Midvale.
Come on Shire of Mundaring show some community spirit and support the residents and ratepayers of this shire that you are not all cold hearted and open and close the pool before and after school holidays.
It is a community facility, not a shire facility, when school holidays are on.
