A UNIQUE opportunity to experience and be part of the Scottish culture will take place in the Kalamunda Agriculture Hall on Friday, May 30 from 7.30pm when the Gallus Ceilidh Band returns to town for this family event.
The band, renowned for its high energy ceilidh performances, delighted hills folks last year at the venue and their line-up ensures both traditional and contemporary music and dance.
The eight-piece band makes a big noise and comprises fiddles, pipes, whistles, guitars, keyboards and drums, and the music is infectious, even if you don’t dance.
But having a go means you will be walked through the dances – and then the fun starts.
Scottish fiddler and band member Linda Gauld said, “This is a high energy ceilidh like no other and you don’t want to miss it. We are on a mission to get everyone Ceilidh dancing and we value enthusiasm over experience. So give it a go and you’ll be laughing all night!”
Tickets are expected to go quickly after the success of last year’s event, and those attending will enjoy the experience and excitement of a traditional Scottish ceilidh showcasing an extraordinary culture which brings communities together for a night of family fun.
There are limited door sales so get in quick.
Tickets are $35 adults and $25 children and are available on the performing arts centre website.
