FIREFIGHTERS were being kept busy in the eastern suburbs this week with multiple bushfires reported.

While Echo News was going to press, we received updates of an uncontained and uncontrolled fire along Toodyay Road in Gidgegannup.

A Department of Fire and Services (DFES) spokesperson said the fire was in inaccessible terrain.

On Wednesday afternoon, emergency responders received reports of a fire at Middle Swan.

DFES said the incident on Dale Road was reported after 12pm and extinguished at 8.30pm.

The spokesperson said investigators were working on determining the cause of the fire.

At 2pm on the same day, DFES announced a bushfire advice for Ellenbrook residents.

The department spokesperson said the fire near Mussellbrook Trail was extinguished about 4pm that afternoon.

On January 16, DFES said there was still a bushfire advice for the bushfire in Avon Valley National Park.
