Three years after the home invasion and sexual assault of a minor, the perpetrator has been sentenced to 18 years in jail.

AN Ellenbrook man has been jailed for the sexual assault of a young girl in December 2021.

Callum Ferris Davies was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Tuesday, March 25 in the Perth District Court.

The 28-year-old had faced charges of sexual penetration of a child under 13 as well as
deprivation of liberty, impeding
the child’s breathing and aggravated home burglary.

Davies was 25-years-old when he was charged in December 2021 by child abuse squad detectives after he sexually assaulted a sleeping child.

At the time police alleged the Ellenbrook man entered an Ellenbrook home at 12.30am on December 27 before assaulting a seven-year-old girl.

He will be eligible for parole.
