The Ellenbrook Multicultural Festival is on again for its fifth year at celebrating Ellenbrook’s cultural diversity and community, on November 15 from 3pm to 8pm.

THE Ellenbrook Multicultural Festival is into its fifth year and will be held on Saturday, November 15 from 3pm to 8pm at Charlottes Vineyard Oval, Ellenbrook.

This vibrant event celebrates the cultural diversity of the Ellenbrook community and promises a day of engaging people in activities including performances, ethnic cuisines, and family-friendly cultural activities for adults and youth.

There will be a diverse variety of performances including Indigenous, South Pacific (Cook Islands, Filipino, New Zealand, Indonesian), Asian (Korean, Chinese), Indian subcontinent (Indian Punjabi Traditional Dance-Gidda).

These events include dancing, singing and music, showcasing the various cultures with the entertainment culminating in a breathtaking Dragon Dance.

Some of the events will encourage audience participation, and in addition to the performances, the festival will offer a diverse selection of cultural food stalls, showcasing flavours from around the world covering all the continents, with the emphasis on healthy foods such as African, Spanish Paella, Asian Street Food, Greek, Italian Pizzas, Korean and Canadian Quebecois

Alongside will be local arts, crafts, and cultural immersion stalls with various cultural artistic activities and games including Mahjong.

A wide variety of free activities and entertainment is available for youth children and kids with immersion activities, including cultural art and games (Carrom, and Korean ddakji), face painting, African drumming circles, lantern-making, and rangoli art.

Outdoor activities will include bubble soccer and obstacle challenge.

With its blend of cultural expression, family activities, and community spirit, the Ellenbrook Multicultural Festival provides a celebration of bringing people of all ages together to express the shared values of unity, diversity, and inclusion.
