ENTRIES have opened for the four-day Lance East Exotics Tarmac West rally that will be held in Perth and surrounds from September 18 to 21.
The Tarmac West stages will be held in Whiteman Park, Ellenbrook, Parkerville, Kalamunda, Toodyay, Maryville Downs, Bullsbrook, Malaga and in the heart of Perth’s CBD.
Rally drivers will race the clock along about 250 kilometres of closed roads that will include long flowing stages where drivers can really open up their machines and find their rhythm, and tight technical stages that require deft driving.
Lance East Exotics associate director Chris Reindler said he is proud to continue supporting Tarmac Events, one of the most accessible and community-driven forms of motorsport in Australia.
“In addition to the seasoned pros, these events give everyday enthusiasts the chance to experience motorsport at ground level, often providing their first real up-close interaction with the sport,” Mr Reindler said.
“They become a focal point of excitement and preparation throughout the year, turning spectators into active participants.
“Enthusiasts dedicate countless hours building, preparing, and dreaming about their cars – creating goals to strive toward, experiences to share, and achievements to celebrate alongside like-minded individuals.
“We’re thrilled to be part of something that brings so much energy, connection, and anticipation to our community every year.”
Lance East Exotics Tarmac West is open to rally cars and has a category for standard road cars for those who like spirited driving.
Introduced in 2024, Tarmac West’s Time Speed Distance (TSD) category is for standard cars with drivers and co-drivers requiring a helmet and an Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA) general speed license.
TSD competitors are required to complete each stage as close as possible to the time allowed and penalised for an early finish more so than finishing late.
Tarmac Events WA director Ross Tapper said there is strong support for rally competitions in Western Australia.
“We’ve just seen international competitors travel to WA for a gravel rally event Forest Rally, and we are seeing good interest for Tarmac West’s rally on sealed roads,” Mr Tapper said.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Lance East Exotics, their support and those of all our sponsors are crucial for us to be able to run events.”
Going from strength to strength, Tarmac West is delighted to announce a two-year partnership extension with Lance East Exotics, a luxury car dealer in Perth.
