A 29-year-old has been arrested in relation to an assault on a senior in a Midland carpark and investigations continue into a fatal motorcycle crash in Gidgegannup.

Midland attacker behind bars

MIDLAND detectives have arrested a woman in relation to an assault on an 84-year-old woman that occurred outside a Midland fast-food restaurant on Saturday, November 16.

Following a police hunt Kierah Jade Miller (29) was arrested and faced Midland Magistrates Court on Monday, November 18 where she was not required to enter a plea and will remain in custody until her next court appearance on December 2.

About 12.35pm, an 84-year-old female was approached by the alleged female attacker in the carpark of Subway on Great Eastern Highway and knocked to the ground.

The attacker fled on foot before detectives charged her with aggravated grievous bodily harm.

The elderly female sustained serious head injuries and was conveyed by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.

It was reported that the 84-year-old victim remained in hospital in a stable condition.

Gidgegannup fatal crash investigation

A 21-year-old male rider of a motorcycle has died in a motorcycle crash in Gidgegannup on Saturday, November 16.

Major crash investigations section are investigating the crash which occurred on Clenton Road at 10.10am.

The Kawasaki motorcycle was travelling south on Clenton Road when it left the road and hit a tree. The 21-year-old rider died at the scene from his injuries.

A 16-year-old male pillion passenger was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with critical injuries.
