Forrestfield serious crash investigation

OFFICERS from the major crash investigation section are seeking the public’s assistance for information as they investigate a serious crash that occurred in Forrestfield on Thursday, February 5.

About 3.55pm, a Mack prime-mover truck and a Honda motorcycle collided at the intersection of Harrison Road and Berkshire Road.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 60-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment.

The 51-year-old female driver of the prime-mover truck was not injured and is assisting Police with their inquiries.

Major crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for anyone who saw the crash to contact Crime Stoppers online or by calling 1800 333 000.

Strike Force Vulcan Boya bushfire investigation

STRIKE Force Vulcan officers are seeking the public’s assistance for information as they investigate the circumstances surrounding a bushfire that occurred in Boya on Friday, February 6.

About 2.00pm, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were advised of a large bushfire in the vicinity of Victor Road and Clayton Road.

The fire burnt approximately 30 hectares of vegetation but was extinguished before it could spread to nearby homes and businesses.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and officers urge anyone with any information relating to this fire to contact Crime Stoppers either online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.

Reports can be made anonymously.
