MAJOR crash investigation officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Mundaring on Monday, July 29.
At about 9am, a white Mitsubishi Pajero travelling east on Great Eastern Highway and a silver Toyota Landcruiser travelling in the same direction were involved in a collision.
The 52-year-old male driver of the Mitsubishi Pajero was taken to Midland Hospital but died due to his injuries.
The 74-year-old male driver of the Toyota Landcruiser was uninjured.
Major crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online.

OFFICERS from the major crash investigation section are investigating a fatal crash which occurred earlier this week in Wattle Grove on Monday, August 5.
About 10.25pm, a white Holden Commodore sedan was travelling east on Welshpool Road East when it left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The 21-year-old male driver died at the scene.
