
OFFICERS from the financial crimes squad have charged 43-year-old Forrestfield man Allan Howard Lamond with stealing as a servant allegedly involving more than $3 million.
It will be alleged, during his employment from 2013 until his dismissal in February 2025, the accused was responsible for managing the company’s invoicing process which included preparing invoices and submitting them for approval.
After authorisation, it will further be alleged the accused manipulated the bank account details on several invoices, redirecting payments to accounts under his control.
Police will also allege an investigation revealed that the accused had stolen more than $3m from the business, and funds were deposited into five personal bank accounts in addition to his regular salary.
It will be alleged the funds were used for personal expenses, home improvements, overseas holidays, property investments and motor vehicle purchases.
The Forrestfield man has been charged with 30 counts of ‘stealing as a servant and appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 20 where he didn’t enter any pleas during his appearance.
He had his bail renewed and will appear in court again on December 10.
