Guildford Twilight Markets are on again on Saturday, November 8 for the second showcase of the 2025-2026 season.

Now in its 13th year, the historic market night has become a beloved fixture of the local calendar and is again set to transform Stirling Square into a vibrant hub of community activity from 5pm to 9pm.

The popular evening event promises a wide variety of stalls, giving locals the perfect opportunity to source unique local artwork, fashion, and home and garden décor.

This month’s event features a medieval theme with a special medieval bazaar as a feature attraction, with a number of medieval-inspired merchandise and artisan wares for sale.

The Knights of the Free Company, a local medieval combat group, will be performing two live combat demonstrations during the evening in a dedicated combat ring.

Complementing the thrilling combat, the event will host up to 75 artisan stalls and a mix of 12 food trucks, letting attendees eat and relax in a large dining hub listening to music from a number of musical acts.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or picnic rug and relax on the lawns to enjoy the non-stop entertainment.

The event will also host a number of roaming medieval musicians, who will wander around the market playing music.

Coordinator of the Guildford Heritage Festival Council, Bromwyn Facer says the medieval theme of this year’s event is new, but that the core focus of the event remains squarely on families.

“We decided to do a medieval theme based on the success of our medieval fairs which have grown from 5000 attendees to more than 20,000 in just three years,” she said.

“We are very family focused… there is so much for the kids to do for free at this year’s night markets.”

Some of the children-focused activities held at the event include face painting, a bouncy castle, games, and hands-on medieval inspired craft activities.

The Twilight Markets pride themselves on being an inclusive space for all vendors and attendees.

“We get a lot of marketable vendors that maybe aren’t mainstream, and they come to our events because they feel comfortable,” Ms Facer said.

“It’s something that really makes us stand out from a lot of markets.

“Our events are very inclusive, and we are open to everything, which is why we get people traveling from as far as York and Two Rocks to visit us.”

Don’t miss out on the chance to support local talent, witness medieval combat, and enjoy a beautiful community focused evening at Stirling Square this Saturday.
