ARTROOMS - Kalamunda Open Studios is again holding its spring event where professional artists from the City of Kalamunda open their studios to the public for conversation, information and art sales.
Supported by the City of Kalamunda, there will be 15 studios that will be opening their doors to the public over the weekend of October 7-8 from 10am to 5pm.
Kalamunda has a very large and diverse population of artists who enjoy the lifestyle and find inspiration for their work in this creative community, and this is a great opportunity to enjoy their talents.
The mix of professional artists, many of whom are multi-award winners, includes graphic designers through to ceramics and metal artists, paper burning, painting, weaving and more.
Event organiser Stephen Castledine said Kalamunda and the surrounding area has a robust and diverse population of talented professional artists.
“A lot of us take our inspiration from our beautiful surroundings in the hills. We are looking forward to opening our studios to the public and talk about our art and hopefully even sell some art which will be available for sale,” he said.
Maps are available from the Zig Zag Cultural Centre in Kalamunda as well as local businesses and available from each studio on that weekend or download from https://kalamundaopenstud
