THE Kalamunda Show is on again after its record breaking attendance in 2023, with the 123rd show at Kostera Oval in Kalamunda from April 12 to April 13 aiming to continue its tradition of bringing a variety of performances and activities for the community to enjoy.

Kalamunda Show chairman Wayne Garwood said the previous year’s event was a resounding success despite relying on six members of the committee to pull it all together.

“Thank you to family and the many volunteers who assisted us in setting up and running the show. (We) couldn’t have managed without them,” he said.

“Without that community support every year the show would not be the same or even exist in the worst case.”

Mr Garwood expects this year’s show to continue on stronger than ever with 11 new committee members and additional helpers lending a hand organising the event.

The show will begin with fireworks and a Chinese Dragon Dance on Friday in preparation for the loaded program planned for Saturday.

The main day of the event features many musical and dance performances on stage, roving magic shows, and agriculture themed activities among the numerous other attractions that will be on offer.

As expected at an agricultural show, this event will have amusement rides, exhibitions showcasing the creative talents of the community, and unique stalls where attendants can buy showbags or get their faces painted.

Mr Garwood is excited for the attending children to experience all the free entertainment at the event, and hopes all are looking forward to the fireworks like he is.

“We are just a few days away from the 123rd annual show and it has all come together again,” he said.

“It will hopefully be another magnificent show which is very much part of the City of Kalamunda.

“The show's motto says it all: ‘our show, our community’.

“Please come to your show in 2024.”
