MULTI-award-winning performance outfit Whiskey & Boots will open a new immersive exhibition, Leave the Light On: Stories about Home later this month at Midland Junction Arts Centre.

Created in collaboration with artist Daniel Grant, narrative therapist Sudha Coutinho, and local organisation Indigo Junction, the audio-visual installation reflects on community relationships to home and homelessness.

The project interweaves recorded audio accounts from Midland residents with original musical compositions and Grant’s projected drawing animations.

As part of the installation, audiences are invited to write anonymous Dear Home letters to their own home that will become part of the space.

The exhibition will run from August 23 to November 1 and can be visited at 276 Great Eastern Highway, Midland.

Viewing hours are Tuesday to Friday 10am to 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm with full program details available online.

An official opening event will take place on Saturday, August 22, from 1pm to 2.30pm, with free registration required prior to attending.
