AWARD-winning comedian Nikki Justice is coming to Midland’s 7th Ave on Saturday, July 12 to talk about the wild stories that come with parenthood.
Justice said her show Bad Mums would make you feel better about your own parenting.
“It can’t be worse than mine,” she said.
Justice’s comedic journey ironically started after a messy breakup in 2021.
“I had been oversharing my life on Instagram and was posting the realities of dating disasters and mum life.
“I guess I must have been funny because a local comedian followed me and commented on one of my posts, ‘#comedian’ and that planted a seed.”
She started trying to make jokes which she then shared with friends.
“Then I did an open mic a week later and never looked back.”
Her website said her extraordinary life experiences gave her comedy a unique edge.
“Running away with a circus and a former life being a bikie wife and a stripper to name a few.”
Justice said comedy had been an amazing journey which has changed her life for the better.
“I have travelled all over the country and the world doing something I love.
“I feel very lucky,” she said.
This coming Saturday, Justice said she wanted to see mums who needed a good night out.
“(Mums) who have felt those moments of parenting where if you didn’t laugh, you would cry.
“We always have the best time, we laugh and overshare and all leave feeling a little better about ourselves.”
The stand-up show starts at 6.15pm, with tickets available for purchase on www.trybook
