The Kids Hub, located in the City of Swan, has a new name – it's now called the Midland Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub.

The name change marks an exciting new chapter for the service, reflecting its inclusion in the national network of Medicare Mental Health Centres. While the name and branding have been refreshed, families can rest assured that the same trusted team, quality supports, and welcoming environment remain unchanged.

The Midland Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub provides a safe, supportive, and free service for children aged 0 to 12 years who live in the City of Swan, along with their families, carers and kin. The Kids Hub offers mental health and wellbeing supports designed to promote emotional wellbeing and healthy development.

Delivered in partnership with Koya Aboriginal Corporation, Lifespan Psychology Centre, MIFWA, and Pregnancy to Parenthood, the Kids Hub can be accessed without a referral, diagnosis or appointment.

It represents a holistic and inclusive approach to children’s mental health, ensuring that no child is left behind, regardless of their circumstances.   

Families can access a wide range of health professionals, offering services that support the mental health and wellbeing of infants and children.

“The Midland Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub is all about making it easier for families to get the right help, at the right time, in a space that feels safe and welcoming,” Parkerville Children and Youth Care chief executive officer Kim Brooklyn said.

“We know that early support can make a world of difference for a child’s wellbeing and development, and we’re proud to continue walking alongside local families as part of this community-led approach to mental health.”

The Midland Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub is located at the Stan and Jean Perron Child, Youth and Family Centre, 1 Watertank Way, Midland.

Families in the City of Swan who are unable to visit the Midland Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub are encouraged to contact Care Navigators on 0405 349 227 or kidshub@parkerville.org.au.

They can discuss options that best suit your child and family’s circumstances and provide advice or a referral to a service that meets their needs.
